Students in grades 10-12 can now acquire drone pilot training, providing the skills and knowledge needed to obtain a Drone Pilot Basic Operations Certificate. This hands-on training will empower you to excel in a high-tech world.
The Course
Students will receive hands-on experience flying drones with a instructor guiding you through step by step. The course covers emergency procedures, site survey techniques and all the training to fly effectively and get you on your way to you official drone pilots liscence.
Supervised Flying
All flight exercises are conducted under the supervision of experienced and certified instructors. Students will learn basic maneuvers, practice flight exercises, and simulate weather effects and hazard situations. The course emphasizes awareness, observation, and safe flying practices.
Government Licensing
This training equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to obtain a Drone Pilot Basic Operations Certificate. The course also prepares students for the online certification test. Once you have completed all of the applicable requirements for certification, the Drone Management Portal we will take you through the test to get your certificate.
Safety Training
Safety is our top priority. The course includes detailed safety lessons, hazard awareness, and emergency procedures. Students will review government documents and learn about potential problems and hazards.
Flight Planning
Learn to plan your flights like a pro. The course covers airspace zones, how to locate them, and where you can and cannot fly. You’ll also learn how to use the NAV Canada app and other tools for flight planning.
